What a place to laze away the morn, rehash the events of evenings, maybe even years past, and eat some honest-to-goodness diner food. I wouldn't consider it a place to be seen yet (and that might sound weird, but if you've been to brunch in NYC or San Diego, you know what I mean), but it's popularity steadily swells with the young and hip. If the day's not built to a swelter and you don't mind the passing vagrant or two, try to grab a table outside, preferably along the sidewalk. The world continues while you scarf enormous fluffy pancakes, or eggs in any way they can be cooked. I've never even made it to the lunch menu, but I suppose I should check it out. The coffee's hot and fresh, the wait staff is charmingly disinterested, and a full breakfast is like, five bucks. Go out some friday or saturday night, get all tipsy and party too much and smoke a stranger's cigarettes. Wake up with a scratch in your throat and too much sand in your eye, maybe shoo somebody out of your bed, your house. Pull on rumpled clothes (smell them first, please) and stagger on down. Order your eggs, meet your friends, sit, and regrow your brain cells. Wait, those don't grow back. Maybe regrow your spiritual brain cells.

I've been here twice and the second time was much better. When I came here the first time, my mom and I went for breakfast and the omelettes were kind of watery for my liking. My mom said her hash browns were salty. But you can't expect too much from a greasy spoon. That is, what, a staple right? The second time I went it was much better. I had a greek salad, it was pretty good. I like that they used blocks of feta cheese. The whole kitchy decor and self-service nature of it is also endearing. The prices aren't too bad. Also a great place to strike up a conversation with local St.Petersburgers about how bad the condo situation is. Always a good griping topic.

I love their dome fries! Creamy inside with a slightly crispy surface where they hit the grill and the perfect amount of parsley. Yum. Ham & cheese omelet was good. Toast was crisp and warm. Counter service was friendly, bathrooms were respectable and prices were a bargain. What more could you want?

It's a diner. Nothing special in my experience, but it gets a solid three stars because my wife really loved her eggs Benedict. The staff was very nice and helpful, and they have outdoor seating which is always nice. Certainly not the worst diner around, but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here.

I love their breakfast. That is the only meal I go for. Have gone for lunch and dinner, but very disappointed. So, I stick with breakfast.

One of the few places you can go on a Sunday morning & get a great breakfast without having to wait in line. And the food is outstanding. Their pancakes are little round pieces of heaven and their biscuits, pastries and muffins are to die for. The croissants are the biggest, flakiest I've ever seen.

Great for breakfast. Not for lunch or dinner.

Great place for home made breakfast. French toast very delicious! Great prices and lots of menu choices. You can sit outside, on a porch or inside. I will definitely be back!

I've been here probably more than anyone in St Pete in the last few years. It isn't the greatest or least greasy food but it does the trick. The servers are both extremely nice and recognise my son every time we arrive. They even went as far as to hand out Christmas cards during the holidays to the regulars that stopped in. That's a big statement. You can order the food any way you want it, and the pricing is reasonable considering. Coffee is cheap and unlimited, and the food is served fast.

I have been going here for several years. Not the best place by any means, but decent and casual. After the rude, unacceptable treatment I received today, I'll never go back. I placed my order with the woman behind the counter only to have to repeat it 4 times. When our food came up, it was missing the bacon (from both orders). When I pointed it out, I got an attitude and was told I don't order it. As I was trying to explain it to the kid behind the counter, he realizes that I had ordered it, but was only charged for one portion. He then cut off another customer trying to place their order just to charge me $2 for the bacon that I "didn't order". Meanwhile, the other customer gets frustrated and leaves. As I stand there expressing my disbelief and frustration, the owner steps in to tell me that customers like me can "go home". It seems like the only ones that like this place are hungover and obviously don't care about the extremely poor service. Nothing can make up for the terrible service these guys feel like they can get away with. I'll never go back and will make sure all my friends know of my experience as well.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. They said they do not make egg white omelets but would be using egg substitute instead . I left and did not even taste the food

Best breakfast in st pete... Cheap, no winy waitresses, fast and overall.... all great food!!!

I used to like The Dome for lunch. I referred people there. But I had the last straw because of customer service yesterday. In the past, the owner challenged me on how I ordered my food. I chalked it up to his "charm." But really, if I don't want as much olive oil on my Greek Apple Salad as you normally put on, don't lecture me about it. Yesterday, I ordered lunch at 1:40. They close at 2. I heard what I think is a new waitress say something like, "Some people can't read. We are open 7-2!" I went to the counter and asked for my food to-go, and of course they said no need they were there till 2:30. Are you sure? I said, I didn't know you closed at 2. I'll take it to go. No,no, you can stay. Nope. I left. Not going again. They lost a regular customer who refers others there. Customer service fail. Too bad, because i will miss that Greek Apple Salad.

Food is good...nothing to rave about...but hits the spot... Service is too slow... Their Spanakopita is great! As well as their chocolate muffins...

I went there for breakfast with my husband, sister and mom. My mom's over easy egg was over hard and they put butter on my husband's toast when he asked for no butter. My veggie omelette had a staple in it. My husband brought my plate up to show the staple and the guy said "I don't know how that got in there. What do you want me to do about it?" Not a very good breakfast experience.

Great locally owned, non chain breakfast place. Limited hours, but it's great to see good diner-style food in St. Petersburg. Great food, large portions, everything made fresh in front of you. Free refills on coffee/soda. Great staff, very friendly.

Bfast options are limited in dtown, unless u wanna head over to beach drive for something overpriced and fancy it's pretty much between central coffee shop and Dome. And that battle can pretty much go either way, neither is amazing, neither is bad. It's pretty much a flip of the coin, luckily their right across the street from one another so u can literally flip that coin if you'd like.

Dome is one of those spots that always delivers. The food is good. It tastes even better with a healthy hangover. You can get in and out pretty quick and there is something there for everyone.

  • Charlie K.

Excellent diner food to cure even the roughest mornings. A great menu offers a wide variety of items from breakfast foods to lunch time favorites including burgers and reubens. The gyro I had was excellent and way better than I was expecting it to be. The reuben, one of my favorites and a must try at any place that has one, was pretty dynamite (enough so that I actually use the word dynamite and mean it). Drop in if you need to cure a hangover or want lots of lunch options.

Old style downtown cafeteria style pace (located adjacent to our favorite restaurant) with good food and nice in& out seating. Friendly staff and decent food. Good place to start w/breakfast B/4 you trek up Central to explore.

  • E F.

The food was really good. I ordered a sausage egg and cheese on a biscuit. The biscuit was cooked fresh, fluffy and amazing. The sausage was cooked into the egg which I didn't like as much because you couldn't really taste the sausage, but it was tasty. The cheese was non existent. The potatoes were very good. I didn't like the set up of the place, we waited in line to order and that took 15 minutes. It took another 20 minutes for all of our orders to come out. The staff was kind of rude. They ran out of all of their fountain soda. I would try the food again

A greek diner converted into a cafeteria style setup. Nothing particularly bad but nothing too exciting either. Expect big portions of reasonably priced diner food.

Living downtown St. Pete has its perks and this is one of them. Always go here for breakfast on Sunday morning after a long night out. Everyones reviews are right on for portion size and price. They have a ton of options to choose from. It can get crowded on Sundays and there are only a few tables outside so plan accordingly. Food is great, ambiance is good and service is fast. Overall a great place and one definitely worth checking out.

  • Stephen P.

I don't know anything about their lunch or dinner, but breakfast here is great. The eggs were perfectly scrambled and the croissant was flakey and buttery. The bacon perfectly cooked to order. You have got to try the home fries if you go here. Best of all it was inexpensive. Great food for a great price. Just fantastic. So if you find yourself in downtown St. Petersburg, FL in the morning I suggest you get yourself to The Dome Grill for breakfast.

    (4)

Awesome food and service. What was once known as a cafeteria is now far from that. Breakfast fare with a Greek bent. Prices are reasonable

I used to go to Dome Grill in high school and college. I recently moved back to town and took my husband for the first time. It was just like I remembered it. Food was delicious and fresh, decor was simple- reminds me of diners up North, prices were good and people were friendly. My husband had the veggie omelet- fresh eggs, loads of veggies and a side of dome fries. He absolutely loved it. I had the bacon, egg and cheese croissant. The bacon was crispy, cheese was warm and gooey and egg was very fresh. We will definitely be back!

One of my favorite lazy Sunday morning diners. I usually get the waffles. Great breakfast and lunch variety. Love sitting outside - great place to meet up with friends. The only drawback is the so-so coffee. Could be a little bolder.

  • Suzanne B.

There are diners...and then there is the Dome Grill. A true greasy spoon, the Dome serves industrial strength coffee in thick creamy-white mugs and a two-hotcake, two-egg breakfast for less than $4.00. The cast of characters includes the Greek owner and his boxer son, waitresses who call you 'hon' and the semi-homeless regulars enjoying a hot meal on the cheap. While I can't comment on the taste of the lunches or dinners, the Dome serves several Greek specialties as well. Good, hearty, unhealthy food for a small price. Who cares if you have to gather your own flatware and refill your own coffee cup?

The late nights they are open on the weekends are fantastic! The food is unreal! Even the cooks give a happy wave when you walk in the door! Clean place, quick service, and variety that you won't believe!!!

After spending a night in downtown St. Pete, drinking beer and doing shots, smoking, and enjoying the company of great friends, there's NOTHING that makes you feel better than a huge-mongous breakfast loaded with meats, cheeses, and grease. The Dome Grill delivers on all accounts, and I'm not sure I've ever had a more satisfying morning after meal. When you walk in, there are a few registers located directly in front of you, and instead of having the menu printed above, there are stacks of menus on the counter, and a few seats nearby for you to sit, relax, and decide what you'd like to get. There are a few bottled juices and waters, so you can pick those up, or order a fountain drink. I decided to go with the hash and cheese omelette with a side of Dome Fries, and also threw in a side order of biscuits and gravy. I had a lot to drink the night before. The owner of the place actually took my order, and was a great guy, very friendly and personable. After placing my order, I grabbed my utensils and napkins from the counter, a few packages of jelly and butter, and sat at a local table, anxiously awaiting my number to be called. After only a few minutes, my number was called, and I hopped up to grab my tray. I was surprised at the amount of food I was given, as the prices were actually pretty decent. The omelette was amazing, SO many eggs! The hash and cheese was perfectly cooked and just bursting out the side, and it couldn't have tasted better to me. The dome fries were pretty tasty, just a regular order of diced potatoes with a few spices and flavorings, but my favorite was the biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were cooked perfectly, nice and crispy on the outside, buttery and soft on the inside, and they were COVERED with delicious sausage gravy... a few dabs of hot sauce, some salt and pepper, and I was in hangover heaven! Overall, I was very impressed with this place... The service was great, the staff was friendly and attentive. There's plenty of seating available both inside and out, and the food itself is pretty darn tasty at a pretty good price. I can't speak to the rest of their menu, but the breakfast is the bomb! Not a bad place to stop in and grab a quick, hot meal with some friends and recharge your batteries!

  • Rebecca N.

Yes, you gather your own flatware, tear paper towel napkins from the table, and pick up your meals from the counter-- BUT this is the best dive diner ever in St Pete. It is cheap, hearty and full of grease. I can eat a huge breakfast for less then $5. This is the best spot to hit up after drinking one to many the night before at the Emerald Bar. I have had many a morning afters here with my pals. But do get to lunch fast-- they tend to sell out of the good stuff! And outdoor seating is prime so try stake out a spot.

  • Alex R.

Awesome breakfast! There is a very good reason this place is as busy as it is. The service and menu are excellent. The selection for beverages and menu items is extensive. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.

INEPT CASHIER; ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE Our family has been having breakfast here for years, but after this morning's experience, we shall not return. As a former restaurant manager, I know how customers should be treated, I also know the opposite side of that coin, when a customer is in the wrong, and being unreasonable, and how that should be dealt with. I do not feel I was in this later category. The cashier (#2) taking our order this morning was incompetent in the fact that I had to repeat my order twice, and she still didn't end up ordering it right (the ham was left off the breakfast sandwich), she also didn't include an order of biscuits and gravy on our ticket that I clearly heard my husband order. The thing that angered me, and the reason I'm taking the time to post this review, is the fact that when I took the sandwich up to the counter to report the missing ham, and that we never got our ordered biscuits and gravy, she looks over the ticket and states, "He never ordered that...you didn't order that.", and when I state, "Yes, I was standing right next to him and heard him order it, and I gave my order to you twice.", she then takes the plate needing the ham, hands it a young man behind the line, who looks at me and states, "She made a mistake. Get over it.", and the final thing that sent me over the top, he then turns to the cashier and says "Make sure you charge her for that ham." At this point I'm angry, and tell her in a controlled voice, "You shouldn't argue with the customer like that.", as I get charged for a full side of ham that I had already ordered twice and am now paying for twice as well. I could have asked for a manager and took it further, but after both of their attitudes towards me, I knew I needed to walk away. In relating what had just occurred to my family, we agreed if the cashier's messing up orders like ours, perhaps she's doing it with others who will end up just as dissatisfied with the service, and they'll lose even more business than just ours. There's a reason they don't have any business during week days-because they're food is just average; you would think they would do everything possible to satisfy their weekend breakfast crowd, but after my experience today, that surely isn't the case. Dining out is much more than food quality, it's also about being treated right by those controlling the dining experience.

  • Jina M.

This is a great quick and affordable place for breakfast. They have a variety of breakfast options. Our group ordered a variety and everyone enjoyed what they ordered. The portions are large, and the price is right. They also have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating options.

Greek diner style breakfast & lunch joint. I've had better & I've had worse. Don't bother with adding the chicken medallions to your eggs, it's basically 2 chicken strips straight out of the frozen food section at your local grocery store. Staff is very friendly and coffee was really good. Will probably look elsewhere next time I'm in St Pete.

    (3)
  • Kimmy S.

It's just about the best place for a cheap breakfast when you're downtown. I don't mind scooping up my own flatware, coffee and napkins. But I do mind how crowded the seating area is. The crowds tend to linger, making securing a table almost impossible on the weekends, especially outdoors. The food is decent and the location is perfect for the Fresh Market on saturdays or hangover brunch on sunday. Of course, you won't find any alcohol here, so if that's an important part of brunch (uh, YEAH), then you'll want to go else where. For breakfast on the cheap, it's a 3 star joint for me.

  • Carolyn T.

We were famished. Looking for a mom and pop place that would be cheap and filling. Walked in at 12:30 p.m. and they were still serving breakfast which was exactly what we wanted. Hubby had a Greek omelet, I had french toast. It was fast and delicious and quite possibly the best coffee of our trip. Very informal, very inexpensive ($14 for the two of us) and well worth the stop. Can't wait to go back and try a homemade muffin or croissant which tempt diners at the counter when they order. Those puppies were huge! Interesting cast of characters who patronize the place too. Definitely someplace to go in downtown St. Pete.

  • Kent S.

I love me a fine greasy-spoon establishment. This place is rather unique in its self-service tactics. Expect to get a long of bang for your buck. My experience of the Dome has been one of recovery. I would usually roll into this place in the early afternoon, following an excellent last night. This is a place that I will likely visit every morning after I party in the St. Pete area.

    (4)
  • klaus m.

there is nothing special about this place, in fact overpriced and rude for what you get. self-serve dinner with pay-by-the-item. burned coffee. also needs a remake of the decoration/renovation. they do not take credit cards.

    (2)
  • Ed A.

What a relaxing lunch. We were surprised with the quality. You have to try the grilled cinnamon crunch muffin!!!! Great service and great food!

    (4)
  • Eric R.

Very solid three star "order at the counter and they'll bring it to the table" diner. The menu is huge with a great selection for breakfast especially. You need to know what you want quickly as there is usually a line that forms from the counter to the door. Service is fast and efficient. In comparison to other places the Greek Gyros is just average.

    (3)
  • Ross M.

Wow. Gyro Omlette was very VERY very good. The staff could have moved a little faster, but it was a Saturday morning and the place was very crowded. I really liked this place, and surely will be back. Walked here from my friends place on a Saturday morning. The place was crowded, but only a couple people in line. We ordered food to go and sipped on some coffee out on the patio as we waited. The coffee was very generic, like something in the hotel lobby. But whatever dullness I felt from the coffee were completely eliminated as soon as I bit into my omelette. This is a great place to get breakfast in St. Pete. I would totally suggest it to friends, family, and other yelpers. I only tried the Gyro Omelette. I cannot advise about the other food. But if I go back, I do not think I would try anything different, at least not for the next couple times that I go back.

  • Bovard S.

If you want service go some where else, if they screw up your order, don't take the muffin. Oh and the food is pedestrian at best. Worst food experience I have ever had in Tampa Fl. Not a place to enjoy a meal. !!!

  • Jimmy F.

Best breakfast in St. Pete. Hands down. Get the bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit. You're welcome.

    (5)
  • Laura R.

I have to lower my score on this one. While it's still a very convenient place for a hearty breakfast, the quality (such as it was) seems to have fallen. On my latest visit I received very fast service and a very cheap bill, but the eggs, biscuit and grits I ordered were below average - and the eggs were not cooked as I had requested. Every place can have their off days, but on top of that I was hit with a cloud of cigarette smoke from diners on the open air porch - not cool when you're trying to eat breakfast.

    (2)
  • Mauricio C.

No so great, mediocre service , bread and beagles not fresh at all, coffee is tasteless, the place and is outdated and not so clean, sad because the owner is a great guy but not his employees.

    (2)
  • Bret A.

I stopped in here when looking for breakfast near the St. Pete Courthouse. It has a large, open feel with open kitchen set up. They had a selection of baked breakfast breads as well as prepared to order breakfast. I had a southern breakfast which was a diner style good (tastes good and loaded with calories!) The biscuit was interesting in that it had a a sweet donutty type flavor that reminded me of a beignet from New Orleans. It was very good, but definitely different than the southern biscuit it resembled. They have an outdoor seating area that I would recommend if the weather is nice. Do note that downtown St. Pete has a lot of people begging which is sad. I mention this because I was approached while seated outside eating. It was fine, but I would want to know this if I was looking for a place to eat and considering outside dining.

We had a surprisingly delicious experience here after our first three breakfast places didn't pan out in St. Petersburg on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend. With plenty of parking out front, we walked right in, debated over the menu, then placed our order at the counter. Standard breakfast fare of muffins, pastries, eggs, omelets, corn beef hash, etc. I had an omelet with feta cheese, tomatoes, and fresh spinach, and it was excellent. Not too much spinach, very light and fresh tasting. Served with crazy good buttery Dome potatoes. Plus choice of toast - I lived on the edge and had sourdough. They have a drink station, so you have to get your own coffee, tea, soda, etc. That is also where the silverware is. No napkins, but rolls of paper towels are on each table. My entire family liked their meal - it wasn't fancy, but it was very good. Even the coffee was decent. Pssst.. here's a secret - if you ask for your muffin to be heated, they actually cut it into pieces and throw it on the flattop grill. YUM! Reasonably priced, with fresh ingredients, and served hot - its great place to bring people who want a no-frills breakfast.

    (4)
  • Jenn D.

Decent meal. The cashier (middle aged man) needs to either focus on answering the phone or his customer waiting to order. He answered the phone twice while taking my order, took my card, gave card back and didn't swipe it, then couldn't remember if he charged me and couldn't remember what I'd ordered. Poor people skills. Won't be rushing back for breakfast any time soon.

    (3)
  • Glo S.

I was referred here by the valet at Courtyard Marriott for breakfast & thank God! I loved the flounder & grits, couldn't resist a fresh croissant and coffee. The pastries & breads are made on site under supervision of a sweet owner. The wifi was just a plus! I'll go back in the am!!

    (5)
  • F M.

This place advertises they serve breakfast all day, which is always a plus. There are no extra frills. You want large portions of eggs, coffee, and a shoddy internet connection this is where you go.

    (3)
  • Katie S.

The Dome Grill is a solid breakfast place with an old-school feel located right in the heart of downtown St. Petersburg. If you are looking for a downtown spot with decent food and ample space, The Dome Grill is the place for you. While the restaurant is very "no frills" (you order at the front, grab your own drink, etc., etc.), they offer pretty good food with a variety of options ranging from breakfast sandwiches to pancakes. I ordered pancakes with chocolate chips, which were huge and fluffy. The scrambled eggs were just okay; I ended up putting hot sauce on them. The breakfast sandwiches are pretty big, and look very fresh and filling. The prices are good, the food is solid, and the location is great!

    (3)
  • Jim B.

Very friendly. The Greek omlet was delicious. The home fries were outstanding. They reminded me of röschti which I grew up eating! en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/…

    (5)
  • Erin J.

My croissant was soft and flaky with yummy melted cheese. I asked for crispy home fries and they delivered well done crispy home fries. This is a walk up and order restaurant and the food is quickly ready for consumption. I can't say I would go out of my way to go back but good enough to stop in for a quick bite if in the area.

  • Gem A.

Ordered a couple of breakfast sandwiches that came out cold... Would have said something but get bad vibes from employees here. We felt rushed when ordering (though no one behind us in line)- then when I picked up my food one of the employees yelled at me when I went the wrong way- (rather than politely coming up to me to help- it was awkward...) then she told the table behind us who was just sitting down to eat- "hey! Make sure you put the tables back when you're done!" - not a very comfortable experience eating here at 1pm on a Saturday. Maybe tell the girl with the blonde ponytail and glasses not to be so bossy? I don't know. Not worth a second visit.

  • Francisco G.

Had a ham omelet with home fries and rye plus coffee this morning. Had not been here in years. Only three other customers when I walked in about 830, maybe the rush was over. Order at the counter and they will bring it to you, get your own coffee, napkins and utensils. Plate arrived in less than five minutes by the same cashier man. No jelly or ketchup at the table? Not good. Only the salt and pepper shakers plus Louisiana hot sauce. If the stiff toast was ever buttered it was so minimal I was not sure. A layer of melted Swiss cheese over the omelet, now that's different yet tasted good. Hanging lamps over every table, walls covered with Tampa Bay Rays t-shirts and posters plus vintage pictures. Wood floors and tables give a welcoming Old Florida feel. You can refill your coffee cup whenever you want, and at $1.50 quite reasonable. The hearty ham omelet and home fries at $6.00 was not bad either. This old downtown landmark has been here for many years, they know what they are doing. Pleasant outdoor seating under awning

  • Taylor E.

I've only been here once. The cashier that I dealt with was nice. The cleanliness was average. There was ample seating in the food was prepared in a timely manner.I agree with the other reviews that the set up is confusing. I had an omelette grits and toast. They omelette was good everything else was so-so. I'll give it another try.

  • Colton T.

The Dome is exceptional. You can't beat the choice of seating with sidewalk tables, outdoor patio, and spacious indoors. But what you come for is the menu with very competitive pricing considering its prime downtown location on Central Ave. I'd recommend the eggs Benedict with a coffee and a side of "dome" fries on a Sunday morning to get your day started right!

This place is amazing! Greatbstaff and food. Try the benedict & say hello to their famous cook Dee!

The Food: Plentiful and delicious! The Staff: Very nice people! They were quick and friendly. The Price: So cheap! I had a huge croissant(size of a dinner plate), 2 huge pancakes(also the size of dinner plates), bacon, eggs, and OJ for $12.

  • John L.

More like 2.5 stars - just an average breakfast. Ordered pancakes, scrambled eggs and bacon. The scrambled eggs were more like an egg white, not very scrambled at all. The pancakes were crumbly; you cut into them and they went to pieces. The bacon was pretty good though, although a little cold. No cold orange juice either - had to get a glass of ice. It was a cheap breakfast though, but I think I'll stick to Denny's and IHOP.

We had a long few days of having fun with out of town guests. But, as a lot of us find out as we get older, hangovers last for a really long time. So we wanted something that was simple, cheap and hangover friendly for breakfast this morning, and this place fit the bill. Best news, it's not just a hangover cure. It has a wonderful outdoor patio that gives you a front row seat to all the unique happenings in St. Pete, and offers a ton of options for food. My husband and I are a house divided: he wants lunch, I want breakfast. So anytime we find a place that can give us both what we want, it's a good place to us. I was able to get eggs and he got a Philly Cheesesteak for under $12. You just can't beat that!

Awful experience from the moment we walked in the door. The manager/ cashers not only did not greet us with as much as a hello, he immediately wanted our order. We had never been there before and were trying to decide fast due to his clear impatience. We ordered, payed and added money to the tip cup that was clearly marked "TIPS" As we were beginning to fill our own drinks a server by the name of Wendy I think she said (extremely short haircut older lady) pushed her way past my 75 year old mother who apparently did not hear her warning her to move. When she over heard us speaking of the incident she abruptly intervened explaining that she was busy and that was why she shoved my mother to the side. She proceeded to inform us that if we did not like it we should not return "clearly a given." The manager came by the table, but was clearly uninterested in her vile and threatening behavior. The food was absolutely awful, burnt toast on BLT no mayo wilting lettuce etc.The appearance of this item was so obviously unacceptable yet still served. I could go on with my disgust but I will refrain. I am not sure how a waitress could passably get away with this unacceptable behavior and still have a job. I will never return to this establishment and I do not recommend it to anyone else. We have to many choices in Downtown St Pete that are of such higher quality. Oh , this place is not at all inexpensive for a serve you self restaurant where waitress clear the table and that is it. In closing I do not recommend!

Overall: the food was good. I had biscuits and gravy and potatoes. Unfortunately, there is only counter service, no table service. Although, that probably helps keep prices down. The setup, unfortunately, is completely nonsensical. There's no clear direction upon entry where one should go (of we're to be seated or if we have to order at the register where the sign only really indicates for pick up/take away. Add to that the inevitable line (again, because the food is good). But the accoutrement are in the same section where everyone is waiting in line. So, wait in line, order, then fight through the chaos to get your silverware, condiments, beverages (even the setup for which has no real flow). The cashier was friendly. But he is not very knowledgeable about menu items to make recommendations. He seemed a little flustered when I asked. Perhaps he was new. After paying, he tossed my card on the counter, as he did with the receipt. Perhaps he is unaware that's rude. Overall, good food. Poor setup. Lots of potential.

The food looks so good!!! I had the ham, egg, and cheese on a bagel. The sandwich is larger than the bagel. I had a cinnamon roll which was good but I've had better. The service is decent but confusing on delivery of food. Overall a great lil spot for breakfast. Come enjoy the good good!!!

This place is getting a three for great food and good prices. My onion allergy has always made it tough for me to eat anywhere. But after informing the cashier that I had an onion allergy and ordering my meal I found out that their dome fries are smothered in them. So a quick trip to the counter later A rude cashier simply told me my options where grits or more grits. Looked at me like I was doing something wrong , before the manger/owner? Came By And I let him know I Only Wanted A Pancake. He was very charming and gracious completely understanding. Delivered my pancake to the table with a smile

We are having a lazy breakfast for a change after spending the night in St Pete. and found this on the Central Ave "strip." The Dome has all the basics - omelets, pancakes, waffles, egg sandwiches etc. Good but not great and boiler pot coffee - kind of a Waffle House downtown. Lots of sidewalk seating but semi-self serve so be ready. I can definitely see where this would be great for hangovers - luckily I don't have one today.

So my kids both suggested 5 stars for this place and I don't typically had those out. However, I must agree! This place looks to be run locally by a family which knows how to treat customers. Not only was the staff nice to be around but the food is cheap; bonus! I will certainly come back to this place for breakfast. Recommendation - Veggie omelet and a double chocolate grilled muffin... If you haven't noticed, I like D&D coffee but this place might top them for coffee... very good coffee.

Love this place. I've only ever had breakfast here, but everything I've had is great. You can get a breakfast sandwich on your choice of baked item or go for more traditional pancakes or waffles. There's a pretty large assortment of fresh items like cinnamon rolls as well. Everything is a la carte, so it's pretty easy to get as much or as little as you'd like. My girlfriend and I stop by whenever we're in St. Pete around breakfast time. The two of us usually get more food than we can handle and a bill around $12.

A friend brought me here for breakfast. It's a cafeteria style. You place your order & either they call your number or sometimes they bring it to your seat, but you get your own utensils & drinks. Lots of choices & it was hard to pick. I had a croissant sandwich with eggs, bacon & cheese with their own style potatoes. Loved the seasoning on the potatoes. The croissant was very good as well. Nice size serving, food was good & the price reasonable. No frills, but good food. Also enjoyed some of the photos of old St. Petersburg.

Are you hungover? Do you need something large, filling, and delightfully greasy? Go to the Dome. The food is diner done right and you will not be disappointed. I got eggs on a croissant and it was buttery and perfect. My friend got onion rings and sausage gravy because...yolo? The staff is cheerful and the decor makes me feel like I am in some sort of old time train station/diner/hospital...just trust me. We both left feeling slightly less woozy than we did when we walked in after a night of MAYBE too much alcohol.

Not a bad place to eat, but didn't give enough food for the price. Everything has to be bought individually. Food was good, and will try again to taste what else they offer. Out of our entire meal the banana nut muffin grilled was the best thing and I must say it's very good!
